- INTRAVITREAL AVASTIN INJECTIONS – An intravitreal injection is an in-office procedure in which a medication is injected into the vitreous cavity of the eye. This procedure is typically performed in a nearly painless manner for patients.Patients should expect to see black spots that move when their eyes move after the procedure. This is air or silicone oil within the medication. It will typically resolve within a few days.
LASER PHOTOCOAGULATION –It is a type of laser surgery in the eye. Retina specialists (medical eye doctors that specialize in disorders of the retina) use laser photocoagulation to destroy leaking blood vessels in the retina, which is a light-sensitive tissue in the back of the eye. It is used for several eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy.
FUNDUS FLUORESCEIN ANGIOGRAPGHY – Fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) is an invasive diagnostic procedure. It helps to assess the anatomy, physiology, and pathology of retinal and choroidal circulation. It aids in the diagnosis of various ocular pathologies.
- B – SCAN – A B-scan, or B-scan ultrasonography, is a routine diagnostic test used in ophthalmology. It involves examination of the tissues of the eye in cross-section, using a high-frequency ultrasound technique.
